The last time i saw one of those frowny faces in front of a thread EoE got nerfed and 6 million threads got started about that. Please ANET don't screw up corpse control just because it's affecting an arena that never gets played.

Hurray another glitch that will cause another perfectly good skill to get nerfed.
The sollution to this problem will be something along the lines that you cant use bodies to do necrotic transversal.Hurray!
Common guys you know they will not disable the skill before the match starts, that would just be too easy, its much better to just make the skill useless or change the map.
Lets see how long it takes to get nerfed then be told its not because of this glitch but because of a planned change.

I like the idea of making all NPCs invunerable until the match starts. It makes sense too. We shouldn't be able to take over that control point before the game has even started.

All they would have to do to "fix" the "issue" is set those NPCs as being owned by the nearby team, instead of the opposing team. I've seen NT/CC used in Quarry before, but it was never being exploited to its fullest advantage (just to run to the nearby quarry, not all the way over to the farthest quarry). Also, it doesn't provide as big of an advantage as you think it does, since a couple of good AoE spells can easily claim a quarry.
I don't consider this to be nearly as big of a problem as the haulers getting stuck for extended periods of time inside your base. I reported this before the event and really hoped it would have been fixed before the weekend. I've lost very close matches because of this bug.

Heh, exactly what I was thinking. My SS w/ CC used to do this every time I played that map. (Which, incidently, was about once ever 3 weeks.)
I could see how it would be a problem this weekend though.

This exploit was indeed pretty devastating to a point that I had to use it too. If I don't use it, even with my guild mates on my team, we still manage to lose (although a hard fight). The opponent team would simply gain 2 points ahead of us by 20-30 sec.

lol, how does this suprise anyone?
Players are not going to play games these days for fair play. They are going to try and cheat, exploit and do what they can to win.
Here's the fix:
Lock life bars (no damage), disable skills and make players unable to move untill the match starts. Return EoE to it's former self so it's of use again.
This should be simple enough as the even the minions' life is locked during movies now. Simple fix, no nerfs and no more breaking skills.

Frankly, I'd prefer they re-design the map slightly. Blocking skill use before the match starts prevents a lot of perfectly legitimate preparation (elementalist attunements, ranger preparations, Anguished Was Ling-wah, etc.), and there's no way they could re-work the relevant skills without ruining them. Making NPCs invincible before the match starts would be reasonable, or they could make it so NPCs killed before the match starts do not leave exploitable corpses.

Well I guess making those outpost spawn after the time counts down will solve the problem.
I'd like a 3 second time between taking the post and npc respawn.

What's wrong with vampiric stuff? You mean touch rangers? When they changed the wording in the description of Expertise they made it pretty clear they had no intention of nerfing that.

"spell failed, target is protected by a spell breaker"
Would that be too much? Just until the match starts I mean.

Just make the NPCs invulnerable before the match starts. No need to change the map or skills that way.

Quite honestly, locking skills before a match starts would really screw over any monk using mantained enchaments. AKA Bonders.
